We require candidates who can confidently work within accommodation services to support vulnerable young people and adults who are homeless and may have additional needs such as substance use, offending behaviours, mental health, debt, amongst others.
Candidates must have the ability to remain professional and alert throughout the night; ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of the residents in the property; monitor visitors and activity and ensure thorough recording processes are followed; manage crisis intervention if and when necessary and liaise with professional agencies.
This role requires candidates who have a strong character, who are resilient and confident in managing potentially challenging situations; who can communicate effectively and maintain professional standards at all times. This line of work can also require sensitivity and empathy; someone who can engage and listen; who is non judgmental and has a genuine desire to support others.
We have work available on an as and when needed basis, and also on a regular basis. Work as flexibly or regularly as you like, subject to demand. Some services are lone working, others alongside another staff member.
