Nineteen Recruitment are currently recruiting for Homelessness Support workers in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

We are looking for support workers with experience in providing support to people who are in a homelessness crisis.

You will be supporting vulnerable and socially excluded people by working in partnership with them to reach their full potential.

You will be supporting people using person-centred support packages, offering support and guidance and crisis intervention.

Opportunities available are: 24 hour supported services offering crisis and transitional accommodation to people who have become homeless for a multitude of reasons. Outreach / floating support to meet the needs of clients who are nearing independence. (Needs to be addressed include offending behaviour, mental and physical health problems, addictions, social, financial and digital exclusion.)-

Previous experience of working in a similar setting would be beneficial.

We are recruiting for candidates to work in services across the Northeast particularly Newcastle, Gateshead and North Tyneside.

What you will need to have to apply:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in the UK Social care sector
  • Ability to complete or provide a DBS
  • Relevant mandatory training or willingness to undertake
